Leyland cypress trees have a reputation for growing fast and looking great as a privacy screen - but when they start going, they go quick. Thinning branches, browning foliage, and a lean that wasn't there last year are all signs something is wrong. And a dead or dying Leyland cypress doesn't just look bad. It becomes a genuine hazard to your property.

That's exactly the situation we were dealing with here. A few of these trees had already crossed the line from "struggling" to "coming down soon one way or another." We'd rather it be on our terms than after a storm makes the decision for everyone.

Our crew worked through the property systematically - cutting, sectioning, and clearing debris as we went. You can see the limbs and trunk sections stacked up in the foreground. That's not just cleanup for cleanup's sake. Keeping the work area organized as we go is part of how we protect the lawn, the structure, and the people working the job. Plywood down to protect the turf, crew members spread out and communicating - that's how a safe removal gets done.

Leyland cypress in particular can be deceptive. The outer foliage might still look partially green while the interior structure is already compromised. If yours are showing any signs of stress - sparse growth, dead patches, limbs dropping without wind - it's worth getting eyes on them before the situation gets worse. Brush removal and lot clearing can follow once the trees are down, leaving you with a clean slate to work with.

Dead trees don't fix themselves. The longer they stand, the less predictable they become. If you've got trees on your property that have you second-guessing them, that's reason enough to have someone take a look.
